Shihan Will Duncan

Shihan Duncan began his training in 1973 in Cincinnati, Ohio in Won Hop Juen Do Kajukenbo and Tai Chi Chuan under Buck Lewis. After moving to Euclid, Ohio in 1975, he continued Chinese Kenpo training under Rod Swinehart, receiving his Shodan in 1977. Between 1977 and 1990 he studied Wing Chun Kung Fu with Darrel Kuhn, Wu Style Tai Chi Chuan with Lee Hahn, Northern Shaolin Boxing with James Cook, and Pa Kua Chang and Silat under Joe Cavallero. In 1992 he began studying Shobayashi Shorin Ryu Karate and Toy Gar Kung Fu with Bob Callahan and Joe Panaccione, joining the Universal Martial Arts Federation, earning his Shodan Black Belt in 1993. In 1994 he was recognized by the UMAF as a Fourth Degree Black Belt and he earned his Sandan in Shorin Ryu Karate and Toy Gar Kung Fu. In 1994 he also began studying Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan, Sun Lu Tang Style Hsing-I Chuan, and Sun Lu Tang Style Pay Kua Chang with Master Hu Wei-Yue. In 1995 he became a full partner, along with Craig Cramer, in the Craig Cramer Academy of Martial Arts in Columbia Station, Ohio. He has also studied pressure point fighting techniques with Geroge Dillman and Tom Smith, studied with Royce Gracie, and studied Chi Kung with Hao Tian You and Hilton Tam. In 1996, Sensei Duncan was awarded his Godan in Shorin Ryu Karate and Toy Gar Kung Fu and presented with the title of Shihan from the UMAF. In 1997 he was awarded 5th Generation Master in Taiji, Xingyi, and Bagua from Grandmaster Hu Wei-Yue. In 2000, he was awarded his 6th Degree from the Independant Martial Arts Federation and United States Martial Arts Association. In 2001, he was awarded 7th Degree from the IMAF and USMAA. In 2005, he received his 8th Degree from the USMAA. 

He is a member of the USCKF and certified by them as a judge of Chinese martial arts and he is a life member of both the IMAF and the USMAA.
